This Wednesday at training we ask that you bring all of your Kit (Clothes, feasting kit, weapons, armour, etc etc) for an authenticity check. We will also be training will be on ‘The art of dying’, communication on the battlefield and Forearm hits. This should hopefully (weather permitting) be done on the lawn out by the carpark as we should expect we wont have a lot of room inside due to table set up for Kit check.
We now have the form for Gumeracha Medieval Fair Attendance available for download here, it is important to give a filled out copy to Jen or Michael by the 1st of April (Return methods are listed in the form itself).
No forms will be accepted after the cut off date (meaning that if you try an put you form in after that, you will be unable to camp/eat with the club) also unless previously discussed no amendments will be made to the information given on the form after this date.
Unfortunately we are no longer able to attend the Mt Plesant Show, apologies for the late notice.
I am sad to say that the Jewelry workshop planned for this weekend will not be happening due to Chips’ car breaking down. On the other hand it does mean that as a group we are no longer in conflict with the Mt Pleasant show on the Saturday.
On the 19th of March, we will have some members attending the Mt Pleasant Show to setup a static display. On the same weekend, Chips will be staying with Drew and Fi, and we will be holding a jewelry workshop with him on both days. This way people who are busy on one of either days can still do the workshop (this includes the members attending Mt Pleasant).
We have updated the calender with a host of important dates.
A jewelery workshop by Chips has been proposed for the 19th/20th February. Our doing night in February will be used to plan for GMF. In March there is a show at Mt Plesant on the 19th, and Banner and Flag workshops on the 12th and 26th.
Also a big reminder that GMF is coming up on the 30th of April to the 1st of May, we would like as many members as possible to come up on Friday the 29th if April to assist in set-up.
In other event news Hayley and Jay have invited Handakas to have a BBQ at their house on the 29th of January, if you don’t know their address get into contact with Hayley at training or email the webmaster.
Just a quick reminder that we are resuming training on the 19th at Beefacres Hall, more details are here.
We are pleased to announce that the website has been successfully upgraded.
The most notable features of the new site is that it is more interactive, there is easy access to most pages on the menu bar, and comments can be left on posts such as this.
If you notice any anomalies please let us know.
Welcome to new look of the Handakas Website. We have yet to move over all of the content from the old site, and there are a few bugs in some content, but it will be fixed in due time. The old site can be accessed at nvg.org.au/handakasold
