History
It is 1163, King István III struggles with his uncle, István IV, for control of the throne. Seeking to restore his power base in the Balkans, the Byzantine Emperor Manual I supports Stephen IV and has taken large tracts of Croatia from Hungary. A Hungarian Iobagio Castri (Várjobbágy in Hungarian, translates to Royal Castle Serf. A minor member of the nobility who did not own possessions but employed by landed lord), descendant of a Saxon mercenary who settled in Hungary in the 11th Century, fights with his lord, supporting István III against foes within and without the kingdom.
